Matt Sartain is a native to the California coast where he spends most of his time chasing perfect light and constructing imaginary landscapes. Matt moved to San Francisco in 2005 to complete his M.F.A. in Photography from the Academy of Art University where he won 1st Place Portfolio his graduating year.
Matt’s work has been seen on national and international gallery walls through group exhibitions including Art Basel, Pingyao International Photography Festival China, and Irvine Contemporary Gallery, D.C.
Matt works as a commercial photographer based in San Francisco where he shoots advertising, catalog, editorial and fine art work for national and international brands.
